Washington Boulevard and Rosemead Boulevard, in Pico Rivera, southwestern Los Angeles County, California. ==Ford plant== It operated from 1957 until 1980 as a Ford assembly plant. It replaced two earlier Ford factories in Los Angeles County, the Long Beach Assembly and Maywood Assembly, which were both closed on its opening 1957. The Ford Thunderbird, Mercury Cougar and Ford Elite as well as full sized sedans and station wagons such as the Ford Galaxie, Ford Custom, and the Ford LTD, later renamed the Ford Crown Victoria (Panther platform) were manufactured there. The Lincoln Continental sedan and the Mercury Marquis were also assembled there.
